Carnor Jax is a significant figure in the lore of the Imperial Royal Guard, and his story is explored in the comic series "Star Wars: Crimson Empire."
Born as Kir Kanos on the planet Phaeda, Carnor Jax underwent intense training and eventually joined the Imperial Royal Guard, the elite force tasked with protecting Emperor Palpatine. As a member of the Royal Guard, Jax demonstrated exceptional combat skills, unwavering loyalty, and a strong sense of duty.
Following the death of Emperor Palpatine at the hands of Darth Vader during the Battle of Endor, the Imperial Royal Guard faced internal power struggles. Carnor Jax, ambitious and ruthless, seized the opportunity to manipulate these conflicts to his advantage. He played a key role in the assassination of Emperor Palpatine's clones, attempting to consolidate power for himself.
However, Jax's actions led to a confrontation with his fellow Royal Guard, Kir Kanos, who had survived the internal strife. Kanos, loyal to the true ideals of the Empire and disillusioned by the corruption within, became Jax's nemesis. The two engaged in a fierce rivalry as Kanos sought justice and redemption for the honor of the Imperial Royal Guard.
