Baron Soontir Fel was born on the planet Corellia and quickly developed into an exceptional pilot. Joining the Imperial Academy, he gained renown for his extraordinary flying skills. Fel rose through the ranks within the Galactic Empire and eventually became the leader of the 181st Imperial Fighter Wing, an elite unit of TIE fighter pilots.
His prowess in space combat earned him a reputation as one of the best pilots in the Galactic Empire. During the events of the Thrawn Trilogy, as chronicled in the books "Heir to the Empire," "Dark Force Rising," and "The Last Command" by Timothy Zahn, Baron Fel played a crucial role. Recruited by Grand Admiral Thrawn, he served in Thrawn's fleet against the New Republic.
Baron Fel was not only distinguished by his flying abilities but also by his integrity and loyalty. Despite his service to the Empire, he was a man of honor and principles. Following the Thrawn Trilogy, his character continued to be developed in various Star Wars Legends stories.
