The Rakata, an ancient species in the Star Wars universe, originated on the planet Lehon, later known as Rakata Prime. They evolved as a technologically advanced and Force-sensitive species, leading to the formation of the Rakatan Infinite Empire.
At the height of their power, the Rakata established the Infinite Empire, spanning a significant portion of the galaxy. They harnessed the dark side of the Force to create powerful technologies, most notably the Star Forge, capable of mass-producing starships. Their expansion was marked by the enslavement and exploitation of other species.
However, the Rakata's reliance on the dark side led to their downfall. A Force-sensitive "plague" weakened their abilities, contributing to internal conflicts and the eventual decline of their civilization.
Within the Rakatan society, a figure known as a Predor held a significant role. Predors were powerful Force-sensitive leaders who played crucial roles in the governance and expansion of the Infinite Empire. They held territories or sectors, overseeing enslaved populations and ensuring the Empire's dominance. The title of Predor was indicative of their influence, both politically and militarily, as they used the dark side of the Force to enforce their rule and power advanced Rakatan technologies.
