Growing up a huge Kyle Katarn fan not having a great deck for him and Jan really bothered me for quite some time. I tried to fix the EU expansion Kyle, did not work out. I tried to come up with something great on my own, did not really work out. Than I stumbled across Geektopias Poe & Finn deck and liked the concept they came up with for a ranged character with some melee prowess and an ace pilot as a minor. I took 99% of the concept just had to change a few small things to make it fit he characters a little better.
The cardback is a design from the great isutton007 who was very generous in allowing me to use it for my deck.
